'A brilliant, relentless rollercoaster of suspense that shreds your emotions' PETER JAMES

Audra has finally left her abusive husband. She’s taken the family car and her young children, Sean and Louise, are buckled up in the back. This is their chance for a fresh start.

Audra keeps to the country roads to avoid attention. She’s looking for a safe place to stay for the night when she spots something in her rear-view mirror. A police car is following her and the lights are flickering. Blue and red.

As Audra pulls over she is intensely aware of how isolated they are. Her perfect escape is about to turn into a nightmare beyond her imagining. . .

Dark secrets and a heart-pounding race to reveal the truth lie at the heart of this page-turning thriller.

Full of dark secrets and heart-pounding twists, Here and Gone is the ultimate page-turner.

A rollercoaster of a ride, complete with agonising tension and a heroine you can’t help rooting for. It deserves to be a best-seller
Nail-shreddingly suspenseful
A brilliant, relentless rollercoaster of suspense that shreds your emotions.
Packed with smart twists and unforgettable characters, Here and Gone is one of the best debuts of the year. Highly recommended.
Parents will be given nightmares by this nerve-shreddingly suspenseful and chilling thriller
Here & Gone is the best thriller I've read this year. It completely consumed me and left me desperate to keep reading. I loved every page.
Tension-laden...with a vice-like grip that won’t let go…Here and Gone is terrifyingly realistic from the start to its finale.
Combines the propulsive narrative drive of Lee Child with Michael Connelly’s deceptively understated, muscular prose… A genuinely chilling and thrilling read.
Remarkable…the perfect hand-off for fans desperate for “something like” Lee Child, Harlan Coben, and Lisa Gardner…Don’t be surprised if this one becomes the thriller everybody is reading this summer.
An almost unbearably tense nail-biter of a novel. Cancel all your plans and settle in for the ride…

If you could sum up Here and Gone in three words, what would they be?

Enthralling, exciting, believable.

What did you like best about this story?

It kept me involved all the way throughout. Great story!

What about Abby Craden’s performance did you like?

Once I got used to her I loved her performance - different characters portrayed by subtle changes in tone and accent - really great.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The characters were all believable - but the obvious moment was at the end of the book - don't want to spoil it for other readers.

Any additional comments?

Enthralling, would have read in one go but work prevented that. So easy to pick up again and always left me wondering what next? Loved the narration - fitted perfectly once I got used to Abby Craden - she was great. Will be looking for more from this author and from Abby.

Enjoyed this book a great deal. A good plot, well written and with a superb performance by Abby Craden. My only criticism is that it was a bit overlong and I found myself skipping chunks of it towards the end. I would recommend however, and would read more books by this author.

Great read

Loved every minute of this I was hooked. Gripping story line that leaves you hanging on for more.
I did not like the American voices but I soon got past that because the story line was worth it. The voices were very easily distinguishable.

Brilliant

Great book..I literally couldn’t put it down! Wasn’t sure where the story was going initially & it came as a bit of a surprise..not what I expected after reading the description!
Great story, really original. I was completely immersed in it within a short space of time after getting used to the narrator..found the narration slightly annoying to begin with for some reason..but quickly got used to it & was suitably impressed with her wide range of voices for all the different characters.
My only criticism of the book was the amount of times ‘hunker down’ was used. There were people hunkering down all over the shop. A different adjective wouldn’t have gone a miss. But hey, that’s me being extra picky & if that’s the only bad thing to say about it that makes it a pretty impressive read :)

Gripping..unputdownable!
