Six BBC Radio 4 episodes featuring the king of chat Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan), in a series of hysterically excrutiating encounters with guests played by Rebecca Front, David Schneider, Patrick Marber and Doon Mackichan. Also included are two bonus programmes: a spoof behind-the-scenes feature Knowing Knowing Me, Knowing You and In Conversation with Steve Coogan. Duration: 4 hours approx. So so so good. These extra words were forced on me because it needs 15 words, apparently

made me chuckle. hadn't started much in the 20 years since was made. recommend at least a bit of background knowledge to the character.

good all-round comedy

Good to finally have all the episodes in one place, rather than wasting credits on them separately. The extra, behind-the-scenes mockumentary was a nice addition and a precursor to the later tv shows. However, the bonus Steve Coogan interview was pointless, Private Eye O.B.N (Order of the Brown Nose) sycophancy that serves only to blur the line between where he ends and Partridge begins.

great stuff!

Hard to believe this was released in 1992-3
