Leadership is not a rank, it is a responsibility. Leadership is not about being in charge, it is about taking care of those in your charge.

When we take care of our people, our people will take care of us. They will help see that our cause becomes a reality.

In Leaders Eat Last, Simon Sinek, internationally bestselling author of Start With Why, investigates these great leaders from Marine Corps Officers, who don't just sacrifice their place at the table but often their own comfort and even their lives for those in their care, to the heads of big business and government - each putting aside their own interests to protect their teams.

'Simple and elegant, it shows us how leaders should lead' William Ury, co-author of Getting to Yes

Awesome book and the author delivers it brilliantly. Anyone who is a leader or is inspiring to be one should have a listen to this.

I'm not normally a fan of Simon sinek start with why to me is not as amazing as everyone thinks it just feels like good advertising spin but this book is awesome it really resonated with me particularly how to manage and deal with the different generations and don't skip the last chapter 28 I totally subscribe to this approach already with my family and will sort out a contract for my children for their tablets and phones ASAP!!!

great

Whilst the message of the book is rather obvious, this book goes into a lot of detail on what makes a good leader, using good examples and use cases. Some of the science behind how we as humans work together (or don't) and what makes us tick is level of detail I had not got from a number of other very similar books. I found it very interesting and was always looking forward to what I might learn next. I felt the content was deep enough to be very interesting, but not so detailed that it went off on tangents,. The perfect balance.

I don't always gel well with some narrators on Audiable, but Simon's voice was easy to listen to, he spoke well and I found his voice very engaging. I will now look up his other books and give them a try. I really enjoyed this and will likely run through it again to help increase my percentage retention (which isnt always that great!)

Fantastic, engaging, very interesting!
