About this listen

Kingdoms collide in Sarah J. Maas' epic fifth installment in the global best-selling Throne of Glass series.

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don't.

As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

Aelin's journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

Obsessed with this series, obsessed with this book. I did the tandem read with Tower of Dawn so it took me a while to finish all 1300 total pages but it was totally worth the experience of consuming the story like that! Can't wait to finish the series!

Loved it

Every time has going so well, with a series cliff-ditch at the end of each book.
This time not just a CLIFFHANGER but a cliff-abyss.
I am so angry I don’t know if I should stop or buy the next book or just plan hate this series.
Wonderful story, brilliant writing and just plain amazing, just don’t read it until the next book is available !!!
The only thing that could make this book better would be a better Narrater, I find “Evans” just boring for this genre.

ahhhhh everytime I re-read or re-listen to this series I shed so many damn tears I doubt my body even has any water left in it. That damn ending. It kills me EVERY TIME. I know it's coming and yet it slams into me over and over and I can never seem to come up for air. I love my precious Fireheart and she's the greatest queen to ever live.

i love it so much

I have listened to this book twice now and I found that the second time round there were a lot of little things that I missed the first time, or that suddenly it clicked and my understanding of bits and pieces became clearer.
The stories are well written enough that despite there being now many, many characters in play you know each of them on a personal level and could reel off a few facts or personality traits of each, making you fully engage and empathise or understand each character.
I do have to say that I am finding the arrogance of Aelin to become quite irritating now and would like to see the author allow her to be more humble or at least attempt to listen to her companions, rather than storming around like a petulant teenager doing what she wants in temper and getting all her own way, and all the much, much older and experienced characters seem to just let it happen as if it's totally okay. I hope it doesnt continue in such a way because it is getting a little unrealistic (if you can call any fantasy story realistic, you know what I mean!)
But otherwise, I have read Tower of Dawn (not as interesting) and eagerly away the next book to find out what happens next
