Classic brilliance!

Old Mr Dahl writes so much better than he narrates
Roald Dahl's timeless classics are wonderful. His performance is a little rushed and stuffy by today's standards. It's a bit like having your favourite bedtime story read to you by an uncle that's in a terrible hurry! But I'm still glad I bought them.

Dahl is always a fantastic read / listen and when the man himself reads them you really hear exactly how they are supposed to be! Just a shame the box set doesn’t include the giraffe the pellet and me as well! ;-D

Great Fun
I loved it. I liked 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'James and the Giant Peach' the best, and also 'The Magic Finger'. Excellent stories. So imaginative, so inspired. Narrated by Dahl himself, and very well at that. Fab fun for every age.
