The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live.
Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.
In The Mastery of Self, best-selling author and teacher don Miguel Ruiz Jr. takes the Toltec philosophy of the dream of the planet and offers you a road map to reclaiming your authentic self. He reveals how the tools of awareness, understanding, and unconditional love can free you from any inhibiting beliefs, stories, or ideas that are keeping you from living the best life possible.
This book can help you discover who you really are at the deepest level, which often lies just beyond any conditioning or domestication you have acquired throughout your life.

At the beginning of the book Miguel Ruiz Jr. talks about forgiveness.
I will forgive a person who's willing to hold themselves accountable for mistakes- misunderstandings- disagreements, or they're just having a bad day.
I use acceptance for a person as an alternative for forgiveness who's not willing to hold themselves accountable for their psychological and emotional abuse (Repeated behavioural patterns)
I accept that the person who's very unlikely to change their behaviour, because they don't have the ability to self reflect. (Self-awareness is the ability to understand your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how they affect yourself and others)
Manipulators will twist your words, blame you for their wrongdoings, then they'll play the victim keeping you in a loop- cycle. They'll never be a resolution. They can treat you badly, and somehow make it seem like it's all your fault. (Not everyone deserves access to you)
(ALWAYS KNOW YOUR TRUTH)
Create healthy boundaries around yourself. When you set a boundary, you’re not punishing anyone — you’re simply honoring yourself. A boundary says, “I respect my energy, my time, and my emotional well-being.” It’s a declaration of self-love, not rejection of others)

Simply amazing

I relate to this piece of ideology probably more than I have ever related to my peers. The ally/parasite, the domestication and self-domestication, the dream of the world, conditional vs unconditional love; it’s common sense yet no one notices or thinks about it.
Beautifully written and sound
