About this listen

Famous killers have fan clubs. Hamish Wolfe is no different. Locked up for the rest of his life for the abduction and murder of three young women, he gets countless adoring letters every day. He's handsome, charismatic and very persuasive. His admirers are convinced he's innocent and that he's the man of their dreams. Who would join such a club?

Maggie Rose is different. Reclusive and enigmatic, a successful lawyer and best-selling true-crime writer, she takes on only cases that she can win. Hamish wants her as his lawyer; he wants her to change his fate. She thinks she's immune to the charms of a man like this.

But maybe not this time....

Would you?

Throughout the story it held my unflinching interest ..... exciting and so cleverly put together.... such a twist in the tale ..... utterly brilliant!!!

Enthralling

I didnt see the twist coming at all, til the very end, a couple of them. it was a well written book, easy listening, but didnt get too enthralled until way into it, but enjoyed it nonetheless. worth a read/listen.

really enjoyed

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, I found the ending disappointing, and, in the Audible version, I was constantly confused about who was talking and when dialogue ended and began.

Would you ever listen to anything by Sharon Bolton again?

Possibly with a different narrator

Would you be willing to try another one of Antonia Beamish’s performances?

No, her voice was beyond irritating. She didn't change voices between characters and different sections of dialogue often blended into one, so you didn't know who was talking, whether it was dialogue or part of the story, and subsequently, what was going on in the story.

Do you think Daisy in Chains needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, the ending was very closed.

Confusing narration, story was OK

I did manage to twig the main twist about 40 mins before the end but not the actual outcome so very rewarding listen!

First story in ages to keep me guessing

I enjoyed this book. It took me to about 2/3 of the book to realise who Daisy was but had no idea about who the murderer was.

A surprising twist
