Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Little Boy Blue by MJ Arlidge, read by Elizabeth Bower.

Hiding her personal connection to the victim - and a double-life which must remain secret at all costs - Helen becomes a woman possessed, working her team around the clock to chase down every lead.

As the killer strikes again, the investigation takes its toll not only on Helen but also her senior officers. Tempers flare, friendships fray and Helen faces an impossible choice.

Confess her sins and lose control of the case? Or keep living a lie, protecting her darkest secrets, and risk getting trapped in this tangled web?

But whatever she does, this killer will not stop until the truth is revealed: there are some fates worse than death....

A totally implausible storyline.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I am amazed that anyone thought this was good. The story line is totally implausible and fatuous. It was more like a grizzly fairy tale than anything that would happen in real life. It is quite literally a 'story' and not a very good one at that. I was so pleased when it came to an end.

Would you ever listen to anything by M. J. Arlidge again?

No

Rubbish

It's time that Aldlidge changed the storyline. The first three books were great but now it's complete repetition. Can there not be a crime that Helen Grace investigates that isn't about her . This is the last Helen Grace book I will read .

Disappointing!!!

I was looking forward to this next Helen Grace book, but I feel let down in some way. The story was weak it just got going at the end!! I'm assuming there is another book to Finnish this story,

Filler

This was not a novel this was a filler between the last and next book. badly wrote no real plot. If the author doesn't want to make the effort and keep Helen Grace then this would have been the perfect time to end the series in style. Shame on you

Unbelievably Good

Another excellent Helen Grace book!! How does MJ Arlidge do it?!
Although from the synopsis indicates that the killer is out to get Helen Grace you are drawn in from the get go and feel sure you know who it is only to find it is someone else!
What will happen to Helen now? How will she turn this around!
Brilliant! Just brilliant!

Surprising!!

I've read all the Helen Grace books now and was just thinking that this would probably be my last - the stories are all good, but I was able to predict the endings.

However, there is a great twist to this tale, so I'll be looking out for the next episode. (No spoilers!)

Best of the bunch !

Listened to all the Helen Grace audiobooks and overall they've been 3.5-4.0 out of 5. Given this a 5 as this is the best one yet.
Kept me guessing, fast paced and a different ending...can't wait until the next one.
