Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

As a child of the 1970s I think this would appeal to anyone from that era.
The era of playschools (not such thing as OFSTED), the start of holidays abroad, Biba being the sort after fashion label, stay at home mum's and the new towns of the 1970s.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Tent, The Bucket and Me?

I can't pick one, but the bucket incident, the all inclusive food experience, the 'home corner' standoff at playschool, and the 5 course dinner in the French restaurant. They made me laugh. A lot.

What about Emma Kennedy’s performance did you like?

It was good, she narrated all the characters well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was moved to laughter in many places in the book!

Any additional comments?

I just loved this book. It was set in my era, and my mum is not that different to Brenda, so I could totally 'get' that.
It's not really a story, just tales from annual holidays in the main. This makes it a very easy listen.

So funny and brilliantly read by the author. In stitches crying with laughter at some parts. Also very endearing and nostalgic for anyone who grew up in the seventies

I first read this book a few years ago & loved it from start to finish! The audiobook is even better which is helped by the author herself narrating it.
I cannot fault it at all & look forward to reading other books by Emma Kennedy.

Oh how I loved this book. Especially read by the author who obviously knows the characters and so brings them to life. I have laughed out loud so often listening to this book and my enjoyment never faltered. I grew up in the seventies and this had a familiar feel to it. Plus as a child of under eleven I made the drive to Cornwall many times. Going up enormous hills in second gear the noise of the engine making my head hurt. My brother throwing up out of the window of the car while it was moving. Cold sausages eaten with plain crisps, yes the ones with the salt packets!
Emma's dad reminded me of my own dad to.
Not one bad thing to say about this book. So brilliantly funny. It's been a couple of weeks since I finished listening and I miss it and still giggle at remembered parts. I'm going to have to listen again which I rarely do. The worse thing about this book is finishing it.
