About this listen

Featuring Simon Kernick's maverick detective, Tina Boyd, this is the gripping new race-against-time thriller by the best-selling author of Relentless, The Last 10 Seconds and Stay Alive.

'It's night, and I'm in a strange house. The lights are on and I'm standing outside a half-open door. Feeling a terrible sense of foreboding, I walk slowly inside. And then I see her. A woman lying sprawled across a huge double bed. She's dead. There's blood everywhere. And the most terrifying thing of all is that I think her killer might be me ...'

A traumatic car-crash. A man with no memory, haunted by nightmares. When the past comes calling in the most terrifying way imaginable, Matt Barron is forced to turn to the one person who can help. Ex Met cop, turned private detective, Tina Boyd. Soon they are both on the run.....

Although not his best book this is not bad and passed a few evenings. I thought the ending could have gone in various ways and was a little disappointed in the way it did. It was the least entertaining, but very gritty and leaves the way open for another book featuring the main character. The narrator is my least favourite on audible, so I found myself drifting off by the end of each evening. Sadly he reads a lot of Simon Kernicks books, so it's a case of tolerate his voice or don't buy!

Pretty good listen

Loved it. Simon Kernick is soon turning to my favourite author. Read all hus books now and eagerly awaiting his next.

This book was straight into the action from the get go. Then it didnt stop as both you and the main character tried to work out the epic plot.

Keep them coming Simon

This story focuses on a man who, following a car accident and three month coma, has no memory of his life.
Things start to unravel when a recurring dream awakens dark, disjointed memories. Add
murder, hit men, MI5 and Tina (now a PI) looking for a missing person and the story races forward.
Simon KERNICK has written another fast paced book. Of you like detective novel then this is one is worth a listen.
