Summary

Ex-deniable operator Nick Stone seems to be living his dream, not a care in the world as he steers his camper van round the surfing and parachuting paradise of Australia, a board on the roof, a freefall rig behind him, and a beautiful young backpacker at his side.

But when he sees a news report of the massacre of women and children in a terrorist outrage the other side of the world, long-suppressed memories are triggered, and Nick knows he must risk everything to repay a longstanding debt of friendship.

As events unfold in the bleak, medieval villages of Georgia and teeming streets of modern Istanbul, Nick finds himself catapulted once more into the murky, clandestine world he thought he'd left behind - a world in the grip of nameless enemies who linger in the shadows, and stalk the corridors of power...

Hurtled at breakneck pace through a deadly landscape of greed, violence and ever-shifting allegiances, the reader will be left in no doubt that McNab is the master of the genre - and Aggressor shows McNab at his searing, blockbusting best.

Unabridged Mcnab = thank you!

What did you like most about Aggressor?

The fact it was unabridged! Great story, I really enjoyed the fact that Nick Stones' closest escapes were in this book.

What about Paul Thornley’s performance did you like?

All of it!

Any additional comments?

I recently had an email from Andy Mcnab through his Facebook page, after I congratulated him on the success of these books and to also tell him how great Paul Thornley is narrating for him. That's how much I enjoy these thrillers!

So in Agressor, Stone starts off on the hot and white sandy beaches of Oz, but will find himself in Tiblisi/ Georgia, Turkey and the UK. There was an air of tragedy in this story, as you will discover if you decide to purchase it.

It was a welcome change of pace listening to Nick Stone do what only he does best with someone else alongside him, a close and long standing friend that Nick feels compelled to help out by going along on his friend's last mission.

This book was great fun to listen to. As ever, Stone/Mcnab feed my addiction for action and violence with a really interesting storyline in Aggressor, I'm sure you won't regret it either.

Well done Andy

Not his best

I normally love these books but I wasn't gripped by the story here. There was altogether too much time spent driving around. Paul Thornley made an excellent job of the narration but the story was just ok

Great Story

This is one of the best Nick Stone stories, well written and extremely well narrated, I don't know how Paul Thornley does it

Andy's on track again

If you could sum up Aggressor in three words, what would they be?

Andy's Does it again. He makes the whole book run through your mind just like a film running through your mind/ Nick seems to have it all, traveling around Australia, living the life. Free fall, traveling in a VW Camper, then it all turns to the usual active race to the end.

What did you like best about this story?

The whole book was a fast run that shows like film through your mind.. I couldn't put the tape down as usual.

Have you listened to any of Paul Thornley’s other performances? How does this one compare?

As always, his voice and skills really bring the book to life

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

i had the usual roller coaster ride while I listened to the book

Any additional comments?

I just cannot wait for the next chance to listen to Andy's next book

Another classic McNabb

Would you consider the audio edition of Aggressor to be better than the print version?

The audio version is brought to life brilliantly by Paul Thornley's performance, Yes.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Aggressor?

Gripping action-packed climax, fast paced but detailed. Brilliant.

Which character – as performed by Paul Thornley – was your favourite?

I think Paul Thornley brings Nick Stone to life with perfect accent and delivery.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book leaves you satisfied, yet eager for the next one.

Any additional comments?

As ever with Andy McNabb, the detail and accuracy is brilliant, plot is gripping but never unbelievable like other authors in this genre.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I ever got that bad of an upset stomach I might :D

Any additional comments?

Plug it in during rush hour, becomes almost a pleasure being stuck in traffic.

And why the news report’s bodyguard just decide to run out of the barn
