Listening to this is like walking with Clare Balding and her fascinating companions across the beautiful British countryside. It has actually made me dip into Ramblings, her BBC Radio 4 programme, which is available on BBC iPlayer. I've really enjoyed learning something new about the uk.
There is a segment of the book about her coverage of the Olympic Games and the hard work and dedication she puts into broadcasting. It's really interesting, but it's such a different tempo I found it a bit jarring. Not that I'm sorry to have read it, it's very inspiring and reminds me of the joy and excitement I felt during the Olympics.
