The Legend of Drizzt: The Collected Stories expands upon the epic legend of the dark elf with 12 tales performed by the all-star cast of Felicia Day, Dan Harmon, Greg Grunberg, Tom Felton, Danny Pudi, Sean Astin, Melissa Rauch, Ice-T, Wil Wheaton, Al Yankovic, Michael Chiklis, and David Duchovny!

For years, the Legend of Drizzt has included short stories published in Forgotten Realms anthologies and Dragon magazine. Available here for the first time in audio are all the classic stories by the New York Times best-selling author R. A. Salvatore!

From the startling origin of Drizzt’s panther companion, to the tale of Jarlaxle and Entreri’s first encounter with the dragon sisters, the tales in The Collected Stories enrich this vividly-imagined series by building the world around Drizzt through exploring the backstories of side characters and magical locations.

Critic reviews

"The narrators, all good actors, dramatize the unusual characters with clarity and deliver natural-sounding dialogue. Their even pacing helps listeners track tricky plot twists as the stories build.... Fans of Salvatore's work will be enthralled." ( AudioFile)

Exceptional performances by Felicia Day and Will Wheaton. Not so much from David Duchovney and Ice-T but persisted through them. I failed to understand how some of the stories related to Drizzt, especially the one with the Lich and the dragons. Last story about Wulfgar raised too many questions and wondering if I've missed a story somewhere.

Well worth the listen

This is a reasonable collection of short stories, some better than others and with mixed levels of narration.

The changes in pace for the stories and narration made it less than ideal for me.

Great story and generally very well performed. Unfortunately one or two of the narrators vary in quality greatly.

Overall this has been an enjoyable listen. There is an entire segment narrated by "Ice T" which I zoned out for. It brought me back to the hundreds of hours of Catholic school, listening to the preaching of mass, where one would sleep through the rambles of a priest. He has a nice voice, just doesn't have the right rythem or flow.

A great collection of stories read and performed by some great (and surprising) names, all of whom are longtime fans of the awesome Drizzt Do'Urden the renegade Drow. Get quickly transported to the fantastical world of Faerun, part of the Forgotten Realms and tag along for an amazing ride full of magic, beasts, adventure and danger!! Enjoy!! Oh, and don't pet the Panther ;-)

Essential for any fans of Drizzt and AD&D
