Agatha Christie
Elspeth McGillicuddy is positive she witnessed a man strangling a woman to death.
But it was only the merest glimpse through a carriage window as the trains drew parallel.
She is the only witness, there are no suspects, and, most importantly, there is no corpse.
Who, apart from her friend Jane Marple, would take her seriously?
Never underestimate Miss Marple
‘All crime writers around the globe owe Agatha Christie a massive debt.’
Peter James
‘Never a dull moment.’

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
No problem recommending this one. Well read. The different voice characterisations are well done. I have been 'hopping' between reading the book, listening to it on the exercise bike and watching the DVD version. The audio by far beats the rest. What was one of the most memorable moments of 4.50 from Paddington?
Mrs McGillicudy's witnessing of the murder. Fleeting but intense. What about Emilia Fox’s performance did you like?
The different characterisations are well delivered. Emily so easily moves from old Mr Crackenthorpe to Lucy Eyellesbarrow.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
At times very funny with all of the 'proposals' of marriage. And quite outrageous the way some of the characters flippantly deal with murder.Any additional comments?
I am always amazed how 'little' Miss Marple actually appears in the storyline.Classic tale, a classic listening experience
