About this listen

**WINNER of the BBC Audio Drama Award 2015 for Best Scripted Comedy (Studio Audience)**

John Finnemore, writer and star of Cabin Pressure, returns in four episodes of his own sketches, as heard on BBC Radio. These episodes feature a tiger with a gun, reveal the truth behind the war effort, visit some documentary-makers, has a big debate and then treats itself to a little trophy. Plus, there are also some musical interludes from the zoo. John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme is written by and stars John Finnemore (The Now Show, Miranda, That Mitchell and Webb Look). It also features Carrie Quinlan (The News Quiz, The Late Edition), Lawry Lewin (The Life & Times of Vivienne Vyle, Horrible Histories) and Simon Kane (Six Impossible Things).

If you could sum up John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme: The Complete Series 1 in three words, what would they be?

Witty; funny; warm.

What was one of the most memorable moments of John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme: The Complete Series 1?

There are plenty of memorable moments - too many to list. It helps that John Finnemore's writing is intelligent and witty without being smug (a problem with some Radio 4 comedies).

Have you listened to any of John Finnemore’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This is a good starting point from which to explore John Finnemore's work. The other series and Cabin Pressure are well worth a listen. I have found the quality to be consistently high throughout the various series.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Kept me smiling throughout. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments too.

Any additional comments?

I genuinely recommend this and encourage you to try the other series too - they are a real delight.

I harbour a dark secret love for Mr Finnemore. Although it's no longer secret. It's still dark.
