 Dame Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer star as old flames Jean Pargetter and Lionel Hardcastle. Their love story was all set for a happy ending in the 1950s when Jean was a student nurse and Lionel, a young army officer. But he was posted abroad and they lost touch. A very easy listen and just as enjoyable as when the series was on TV. Judi Dench can't put a foot wrong with anything she does and Geoffrey Palmer is wonderful in this role, together they make a great team. Only gripe would be where is the rest of the episodes.
