Dame Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer star as old flames Jean Pargetter and Lionel Hardcastle. Their love story was all set for a happy ending in the 1950s when Jean was a student nurse and Lionel, a young army officer. But he was posted abroad and they lost touch. What did you like most about As Time Goes By?

Judi Dench is one of my favourites and her & Geoffrey Palmer are excellent together as well as apart. All the charactors are so perfect for their roles that's why it works and that's why you want to listen time & time again. WE NEED MORE PLEASE one is not enough!!!!

What other book might you compare As Time Goes By to, and why?

I can't because to me it's unique and in a class of its own and nothing comes close to As time goes by!

What does Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Their wit charm and impecable timing & the use of words , the way it was written, well what can I say pure gold talent

As time went by, as it's an old series now but still as fresh as the day it was first broadcast

All actors that took part deserve an oscar for their performances, they are all exceptional & talented and a sheer pleasure to listen to or watch
