I don’t really understand the bad reviews for his book - I have just listened to it for the second time, and really enjoyed it again. It is lighthearted and entertaining, which the narration reflects, but with some depth to the characters and situation.

like most women my age Iv read my fair share of sophie kinsella books . Who hasn’t read at least one shopaholic book? I thought I would give her other pen name Madeleine Wickham (which is actually her real name) a try. This is a very different style, more grown up, more sophisticated, darker. I enjoyed it and will give another one a try. Worth a look if you like these types of books.

I guess knowing it was written y Sophie Kinsell but it was boring uninspiring and I finished it because I don’t like to leave a book unfinished but it was long and sooooooo slow
