As the Spook's apprentice Tom's first duty is to protect the County from the dark. But now Mam needs his help in her homeland of Greece. Many questions are answered in The Spook's Sacrifice, and some of them are BIG revelations. Expect to be in for a big surprise! The series is left beautifully poised as the tale concludes and the seventh instalment will be as eagerly awaited as ever.
There are a couple of moments in the story which took me completely by surprise - real, strong plot twists...I whole-heartedly recommend it.
Beautifully crafted, genuinely creepy and ludicrously enjoyable, it hooked me: I have since rushed through the entire series so far.
It's a really enjoyable and exhilarating read...Five out of five stars.
The strength of each of Wardstone novels is the standalone quality that Delaney achieves.

I loved these books as a kid. Never got this far with the books and I'm glad I didn't. My partner warned me that the series took a dive after the previous book and she wasn't wrong. It feels so different from the other books I struggle to recognise it as the same series. To preserve my memory of them I will be stopping with the series now.
The oration was good but he could only work with what he'd been given.
