About this listen

As the Spook's apprentice Tom's first duty is to protect the County from the dark. But now Mam needs his help in her homeland of Greece. One of the most dangerous of the old gods, the Ordeen, is about to return there, bringing slaughter and devastation. I loved these books as a kid. Never got this far with the books and I'm glad I didn't. My partner warned me that the series took a dive after the previous book and she wasn't wrong. It feels so different from the other books I struggle to recognise it as the same series. To preserve my memory of them I will be stopping with the series now.
The oration was good but he could only work with what he'd been given.
