Daniel Clay, a once-respected psychiatrist, has been missing for years following revelations about harm done to the children in his care. Believing him dead, his daughter Rebecca has tried to come to terms with her father's legacy, but her fragile peace is about to be shattered. Someone is asking questions about Daniel Clay, someone who does not believe that he is dead: the revenger Merrick, a father and a killer obsessed with discovering the truth about his own daughter's disappearance. Private detective Charlie Parker is hired to make Merrick go away, but Merrick will not be stopped. Soon Parker finds himself trapped between those who want the truth about Daniel Clay to be revealed, and those who want it to remain hidden at all costs. But there are other forces at work here. Someone is funding Merrick's hunt, a ghost from Parker's past. And Merrick's actions have drawn others from the shadows, half-glimpsed figures intent upon their own form of revenge, pale wraiths drifting through the ranks of the unquiet dead. The Hollow Men have come . . .

A stunning rendition by Jeff Harding of a darkly constructed mystery by John Connolly. Brings a new and emotive interpretation to a narrative master of the Crime genre.

What made the experience of listening to The Unquiet the most enjoyable?

This was a classic Parker novel featuring Angel and Louis and a bit of The Collector. A great story, the writing of wrongs and the usual deceptions and half truths.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Parker takes it closely followed by Angel the Louis. Why? Because he's Parker, abrasive, irritating and antagonist. Marvelous.

What about Jeff Harding’s performance did you like?

First class, totally inseparable with Connolly/Parker now.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

No one tells the truth all the time.

Classic Parker

John Connolly nails it every time with his Charlie Parker series.
The characters and attention to detail are beautifully done without labouring the point. The humour is on point and the pace is perfect.
Hands down the my favourite Fictional character! Thank you John Connolly for creating this journey and a big thank you to Jeff Harding who is amazing in bringing the Audio books to life.

League of his own.

Incredibly well written and performed yet again, the detail of the places and characters keep you invested in this series of books and chomping at the bit to start the next.

Another brilliant addition
