The only annoying thing was the musical snippets between scenes, apart from that, very enjoyable

I have purchased and enjoyed many of the Maigret series with Maurice Denham in the lead role unfortunately didn't realise this was not him. This is nowhere near as enjoyable, Simeon's portrayal is awful.
