My only gripe was the occasional "she didn't yet know it, but she'd come to regret this" as it was unnecessary and just noise.
I am now intrigued by the Mithraic cult spreading from the east at the time.
An excellent story, well researched and informative. Read it!
Great trilogy

This is a memorable audiobook along with the first two books in the trilogy. It stands out from other books of this genre due to the great narration and the historical information weaved into a great story. What did you like best about this story?
There was an enjoyable mix of action and narrative . The characters really came alive.Which scene did you most enjoy?
So many scenes could be pictured vividly in the minds eye...some of them horribly gory but have to be a true representation of the horror of war.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
