This collection brings together three of Plato's most enduring classics: the "Symposium", the "Apology", and the famous "Allegory of the Cave" from the Republic. The "Symposium", a dialogue on the nature and purpose of love centered around the ideals of beauty and goodness, is arguably the deepest inquiry of its kind in Western philosophy. The "Apology", Plato's account of the speech given by Socrates at his trial in 399 BC, constitutes an essential defense of Socrates' life and philosophy. Finally, the "Allegory of the Cave", written as a fictional dialogue between Socrates and Plato's brother, Glaucon, is a profound commentary on the human understanding of reality. This edition is the translation by Benjamin Jowett.

Authors, and publishers, kindly pay attention to the acting ability necessary when reading out loud. Tell wanna be out loud readers they’re not in school reading something they find difficult, to a class of delinquents awaiting every opportunity to mock, in front of a teacher.
Also please tell them not to insert punctuation, where there isn’t, and shouldn’t be any.

Another reviewer noticed how poorly this was read. So are many others Audible, and or Apple, books. With the faults I mention. Anyone reading aloud for those with visual impairments, or just fancy a good book, be read to them. Should have more enthusiasm for the story and characters. Have a love, and feel for it.
Why is the Audible owner so complacent about good fiction, and non fiction, narration standards?
Clearly that person prefers to ruin a lot of people’s enjoyment of stories. Whether or not classics, or modern, fact, or fiction.
Sheesh man!
I’m sure talent scouts in drama school productions, can help students pay their way. And listeners enjoy the book. They’re not cheap to buy. Credits or currency. Expand your conscientiousness. Be a better you.

The reader has a good voice but someone should correct his pronounciation. Words like agora and rhetoric he gets so wrong and he does not really know how to dramatise reported Or direct speech. Did he have any direction ? Sadly these faults spoilt the enjoyment of this important work
