I read this book many years ago but had forgotten most of it, Lily was the only character which had stayed with me. I always enjoy Marian Keyes books, they take you on a journey with The characters without being sickly sweet or predictable. The narrator brings the book alive with all the different voices. I will be looking for more audio books narrated by Gerri Halligan.

I loved this book. It was extremely funny, brilliantly likeable characters, great narration. I really enjoyed how the three lives intertwined. Very good storytelling. Chic lit plus., My favourite thing.

I enjoyed this book, which was beautifully narrated by Gertie Halliday. Three intertwining stories are told about three very different women and their lives. Books - writing and publishing - are a central theme.

Enjoyable different perspective

I love Marián Keyes stories. Each one quite different and yet addresses issues affecting women. I also love the humour in it. Get characters too.
My only issue is that on one hand a character complains about patriarchy yet it’s OK for her, a 32 year old woman, to have a 46 year old lover but when another 32 year old woman goes out with a 28 year old man,she feels too old for him. The same man can then take a 24 year old girlfriend without any issue.

I laughed out loud at this book, but it was assisted by the superb narration. This is the first book I have read by this author, and it won’t be the last!
