My son and I love reading Spike's Silly Poems for kids so I chose this for a car journey. Whilst it is lovely to hear Spike reading these, he is much older for most of the recordings than the cover image would make you think. As such, his voice is not very strong. The choice is also eclectic and we gave up after 30 mins without having heard a single well known one. There is also some swearing - which whilst funny and in context - is not appropriate for an 8yr old.
As such, I returned it - much as I love Spike!

A wonderful set of Poems written and performed by the late great Spike Milligan, laughs a plenty (Favourite: Hidden Elephant), but contains some of Spikes serious stuff as well (Notable : Catford 1933).
