The Day Of The Triffids

Even at the end you wanted more. It is a thrilling story about the triffids and completely different from the film of the same name. At times you are on the edge of your chair and want to fast forward but can't because you will miss vital parts of the story!! Fantastic read.

Very good

Excellent! True to the book. Bit dated , probably why the diction was so clear!! Enjoyable to be able to listen to it.

classic

its an unlikely premise, zombie plants take over when an err something makes virtually everyone blind. However its no less likely than many sci fi premises and it does a reasonable job of societal breakdown, small group under attack. This a pleasing 1968 bbc radio version.

Classic radio play

Thorough adaptation, but for some reason the last chapter is in fact a bunch of extras that have been cut from the main performance - still a really solid attempt at a story that has always defied a satisfactory visual version...as in all dystopian visions the bad guys aren't the aliens or the monsters but the humans and how they react to change

This is one of my favorite storys. I love it.

Like most people I have seen the film, but I just love this audio story it is one of my favourite story's I like to listen too. I find I can think to myself what would i do if something like this was too happen too me or what would I do if It was me that was blind what would I do how would I cope with Triffids roaming around and not being able to see, it makes me shudder at the thought. I just love this story.

Precious adaptation of a great story

Have to say it is worthy to listen this adaptation of classical story. Specially me as non native English speaker I enjoy this radio version because of the characters which are narrated by different artists. All is done in a good pace which goes along with original book. Only one drawback I have found is that crazy sound closing and opening each chapter. This is probably all right when you are not listening using a headset. With headset on and little bit higher volume it makes you feel like the man on the cover of this audiobook feels like. Otherwise - great piece of audio book. Thank you for publishing this stuff.

A classic radio adaptation.

A great old fashioned old radio broadcast. Well worth a listen.

My only issue is the fact that it is only 2h 51m long. I wanted more!

Not Bad At All

Very decent audio story. A superb take on the novel, found it even more enjoyable and engaging than the movies I have seen.

Well performed, well produced. Every bit as good as the War of the Worlds radio show from same era.

Would recommend indeed.
