About this listen

Hamish and Dougal have long been a popular feature of the much-loved antidote to panel games 'I’m Sorry I Haven’t a?Clue'. Now at last they have their own series, ably supported by Alison Steadman’s Mrs Naughtie and Jeremy Hardy as the Laird. It’s party time when Dougal hosts 'A?Musical Evening', featuring Mrs Naughtie’s astonishing Dance of the Seven Voles and the Laird doing his best Atomic Kitten impression. In 'The Murder Mystery', the duo investigate Mrs Naughtie’s sudden disappearance – is it linked to rumours about her scandalous past? 'Romance in the Glen' sees Hamish hit by Cupid’s dart, falling head over heels for society beauty Lady?Caroline Fitzneatleigh. And in 'The Shooting Party', it is the Glorious Twelfth, and Hamish and Dougal accompany the Laird to the moors for an afternoon’s shooting. So put the kettle on and settle down to enjoy the doings of this dotty duo! Barry Cryer and Graeme Garden's madcap Scots are on the loose from 'I’m Sorry I Haven’t a?Clue'.© and (P)2003 BBC Audiobooks Ltd Entertainment & Performing Arts Funny

As a "Clue" fan of many years of course I was familiar with these two reprobate characters, but wasn't prepared for the laugh out loud humour of it. Very funny and slightly rude at times, it was just a joy to listen to. Highly recommended for insomniacs. Top marks to Alison Steadman for her Mrs Naughtie accent and the fact that she sometimes has to play 2 characters at once. Whether you are climbing Ben Affleck or wandering through Glen Close, I am sure you will enjoy this Audio.

Hilarious!

I've said it before so I'll say it again, these sketches have to be some of the funniest I have had the pleasure to listen to. Its innuendo all the way without a swear word in site. So funny

Legends of comedy with a fantastic sitcom and plenty dodgy Scottish accents. Utter silly nonsense with nothing but fun and laughter at the heart of it. it would have been better as a compilation of all Hamish and Dougal episodes in one rather than separate, but still woth having this comedy crock of gold in your account.

Amazing innuendo at its finest

Good old naughty dirty clean fun from the wee two from the fab radio show “Sorry I haven’t a Clue”. Definitely be adding the other Amish & Dougall’s to my collection. There’s nothing like a good
old British laugh to keep the spirits up!

GOOD BRITISH NAUGHTY FUN !

hamish and dougal are the audio version of a viz magazine. you could play this to a small child (or an American) without any embarrassment but play it to a grown up( nearly) audience and the single, double and even triple engenders lead to hysterical laughter. the writers build in a smutty comment, use it again and even a third time and it gets funnier. Barry Cryer and Graeme Garden are the most underrated comedians in the UK. This is an example of why they're still here 40years on.
