They inhabited a sophisticated world of chilled cocktails and fast cars, a world where Sir Graham Forbes, of Scotland Yard, usually needed Paul's help with his latest tricky case. This adventure begins with a body on a train, the word 'Alex' scrawled on the compartment window, and the discovery of a visiting card bearing the name 'Mrs Trevelyan'. More bodies follow, and the two names recur on each occasion. Paul Temple will keep you glued to your seats whilst the murderer is found. These are full of fun & the way Paul speaks to his wife will make you laugh. Perfect entertainment for a lazy Sunday. The characters, the suspense, the atmosphere...I love being swept back in time to days of trains with steam, telephones that ring in the house, unexpected guests...

Paul and Steve ...naturally.

love the plots so many suspects.Paul Temple is an insufferable big head who talks to Steve as if she is an idiot .

This is a fantastic detective novel. It's beautifully structured keeping you guessing and on the edge of your seat while being easy to listen to. Peter Coke and Marjorie Westbury bring their characters effortlessly into life allowing you to follow their journey unravelling the mystery.
