About this listen

Johnny Maxwell and his friends have to do something when they find Mrs Tachyon, the local bag lady, semi-conscious in an alley...as long as it's not the kiss of life. But there's more to Mrs Tachyon than a squeaky trolley and a bunch of dubious black bags. Somehow she holds the key to different times, different ears: including the Blackbury Blitz in 1941. Suddenly, now isn't the safe place Johnny once thought it was as he finds himself caught up more and more with then.© Terry and Lyn Pratchett; (P) RHCB Audio Action & Adventure Fantasy Fiction Growing Up Growing Up & Facts of Life Historical Historical Fiction Humorous Fiction Literature & Fiction Science Fiction Science Fiction & Fantasy Friendship Comedy Military

Perfect narration by Tony Robinson. Really original story. Just the four stars though as I'd thought I were getting a whole novel, rather than just the three chapters. Still, enjoyed a lot. Thought provoking.

Brilliant, unique story. Not all that long.

Listened to this as a child and still love it. By far the best of the Johnny Maxwell series.

Stands the test of time

I don't really like the ending . I like the rest though :) \(#√#)/ (:

Just another of Sir Pratchetts wonderful outlooks on life, taking on the enormous task of time-travel and a world torn by war, and giving it a squeaky red nose as only Pratchett can. Again, the dependable Tony Robinson makes the whole thing complete.

Light hearted
