About this listen

___________________________________
A gripping Temperance Brennan novel from world-class forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, the international no. 1 bestselling crime thriller writer and the inspiration behind the hit TV series Bones.

Three skeletons are found in a Montreal basement.

The building is old, and the homicide detective in charge dismisses the remains as historic. Not his case. Not his concern.

Forensic anthropologist Dr Temperance Brennan is not so sure. Something about the bones of these three young women suggests a different message: murder.

Soon she finds herself drawn ever deeper into a web of evil from which there may be no escape. Three women have disappeared, never to return. Will Tempe be next?

the skein of mystery and danger that Tempe encounters is created with all the old skill and the ever accelerating unfolding of the plot has all the elan of Kathy Reichs at her most adroit.

This story falls into the usual good standard you would expect from Kathy Reichs. Another good solid story to enjoy.

Another good solid book from Kathy Reichs

I'm working my way through Kathy Reich's books in order, so I know her books can be quite graphic and gory. I've enjoyed the previous books but I found Monday Mouring hard going due to the references to hard core torture.

Spoiler alert in trigger warning

if you're easily upset by women and girls being tortured, this book is best avoided. I would have skipped this book if I had known.

Talented narrator, but found the story upsetting

This isn't bad, but it's missing 5 hours or so of the story. Sorry to have wasted a credit. Would return if I could.

Shame I didn't realise it was abridged
