First, the mystery man in the church with a bullet-wound. Then, the riddle of a dead man's buried treasure...the curious conduct of a caretaker after a fatal riding accident...the corpse and a tape-measure...the girl framed for theft...and the suspect accused of stabbing his wife with a dagger.

Here are six gripping cases with one thing in common: the astonishing deductive powers of Miss Marple.

I love Joan Hickson. We had these on audio tape and used to listen them in the car on long journeys when I was a child.

I have no idea why The Dressmakers Doll is included in this set...it doesn't feature Miss Marple at all.

Joan Hickson is the perfect Miss Marple

I am coming to the end of reading miss marple sagas and I am sad because there are no more for me to read.
The last story in this book was creepy but what an ending!!!

Brilliant yet again!!!

As always excellent narration from Joan Hickson, although she didn't read the last story. However this was a bit of a one off stand alone.

Excellent performance.

Great stories by Agatha Christie and narrated (mostly) by Joan Hickson, who in my opinion is THE Miss Marple. There are issues with the chapters not matching the story starting times but this can be overcome by adding a clip/bookmark.

Stories include:

1) Sanctuary
2) Strange Jest
3) Tape-Measure Murder
4) The Case of the Caretaker
5) The Case of the Perfect Maid
6) Miss Marple Tells a Story
7) The Dressmaker's Doll (Not a Marple story, not read by Hickson)
8) Greenshaw's Folly (Marple story but not read by Joan Hickson).

7 Marple stories & 1 extra. Great Narration!
