Awakening: the process of becoming aware. The wielder of the great sword, Caledfwlch, starts to become aware of the true purpose for which the blade was forged. Around Prydain forces gather. The enlightened ones haven't given up on subjugating the Celts. However, the greatest threats emerge close to King Arthnog and perhaps the most dangerous force of all is emerging within the King himself.
The druid Myrddin embarks on a quest of his own, leaving his friends vulnerable. It soon becomes apparent that the Celts will have to fight for their freedom once more.
