Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Atomic Habits by James Clear, read by the author.

A revolutionary system to get 1 percent better every day.

People think when you want to change your life, you need to think big. But world-renowned habits expert James Clear has discovered another way. He knows that real change comes from the compound effect of hundreds of small decisions - doing two push-ups a day, waking up five minutes early or holding a single short phone call.

He calls them atomic habits.

In this groundbreaking book, Clears reveals exactly how these minuscule changes can grow into such life-altering outcomes. He uncovers a handful of simple life hacks (the forgotten art of Habit Stacking, the unexpected power of the Two Minute Rule or the trick to entering the Goldilocks Zone) and delves into cutting-edge psychology and neuroscience to explain why they matter. Along the way, he tells inspiring stories of Olympic gold medalists, leading CEOs and distinguished scientists who have used the science of tiny habits to stay productive, motivated and happy.

These small changes will have a revolutionary effect on your career, your relationships and your life.

"James Clear has spent years honing the art and studying the science of habits. This engaging, hands-on book is the guide you need to break bad routines and make good ones.’ (Adam Grant, author of Originals)

"A special book that will change how you approach your day and live your life." (Ryan Holiday, author of The Obstacle is the Way)

Must have book!

I enjoyed every minute. Very insightful and practical book backed with science and research. You can tell that he practised what he's preaching and has seen the fruits.

EVERYONE needs to listen to this.

James has a clear easy voice to listen to (which in my opinion holds a lot for the experience of listening to a book) and his message covers and nails every aspect of human habitual behaviour using the perfect amount of science and experience. Each main component that is covered ends with easy clear methods that if implemented completely, I think, lays a foolproof way to create good habits and break bad ones.
Absolutely fabulous read.

Profoundly useful

This book is extremely useful and packed with SOOOOO many practical tools that can be used immediately.

This book also doubles up as a sequel of sorts to Duhigg's great book on Habits.

The free online tools are extremely useful, including the bonus chapter from the author.

Old wine in a new bottle. Loved the narrator and the contents in it. Just listening to this audio book will inculcate at least one useful habit.

Actionable and Comprehensive

This book is packed with so many practicals that I find it difficult to picture anybody failing to change if they apply even some of the elements in this book

There were areas where I had reservations about how realistic it was for me to do certain things but in every occasion I felt that way he addresses it directly.

Amazing guide that has even summarized the overarching instructions for greater ease.

Thank you James

The definitive manual on habits

Let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to avoid bad habits and repeat positive behaviour?

It’s this attitude that’s lead me to read a bunch of books on habit formation but James Clear is THE MASTER.

Not only is this a great book but it’s well narrated by Clear himself.

Whether you want to lose weight, get fit, remember to floss or just understand your cravings, this is the book.

MUST READ!

WHAT A BOOK! I think James is the Ray Dalio of habits. Geez! This book should be taught in schools (Like Principles - Ray Dalio). Every person should read this book! And read it at least once a year, just as a reminder.

Well done James. And thank you for this book!
