This is the story of Javier and Juliana they work together at the Topped restaurant,he is the sous Chef and she is a Hostess.
Juliana is new she was in the military and lost her arm serving her country and saving her colleagues..she lost more than a limb though she lost her dreams of cooking,being a chef but cooking homemade foods comfort traditional food.
Now she is neighbours with the gorgeous chef at topped.
Javier Leones has a reputation for being a Manwhore but he has had enough of different woman all the time he is ready to settle down.Juliana has caught his eye and when she helps him one night with his drunk brother,they become friends.
Oh course there is alot more between them than just friends an attraction and chemistry that explodes one night in a thunderstorm..The power goes out but they light up the apartment with their shenanighans.
But wires get crossed as Jules treats him like a one night stand but Javier wants more than that and he has to prove to Jules that he is not the man she thinks he is.
I was hooked to this story between Javier and Jules they play together at the BDSM Club Sanctum and I think Jules realises that she has misjudged Javier..But Jules has lost some confidence in herself after losing her arm,she doesn't think any man could be attracted to her,she is afraid to get close to anyone.
What I love about these books is that they have characters who have a disability and they never let it stop them from living their lives and achieving their dreams eventually.
Also that beauty comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes and even if you have challenges physically or mentally you are still worthy of finding love and being happy.
There is also a bit of mystery with Javier's brother and what is going on with him.
Like I have said before I am not really a fan of BDSM But I have never once let that stop me from enjoying these stories,the plots are just too good.
I do like Lexi Blakes writing.
