Wonderful!
This is such a beautiful love story that I’ve listened to several times now. It’s so refreshing to read a book where the MCs actually communicate their thoughts and feelings rather than have the usual misunderstandings and angst. The writer draws you in right away and the chemistry between Maya & Quinn is electric. HEA love story with some very hot love scenes….. made all the better by being narrated by the magnificent Angela Dawe!

Another winner from Harper
A really enjoyable book, with likeable characters whose concerns about the age gap are realistically described. The younger woman’s enthusiasm and zest for life is uplifting and engaging, making it easy to see how she managed to capture Maya’s heart. Well written, an easy read. A winner.

Loved this!
I like a good Harper Bliss romance, but age gap stories don’t always hit the mark for me. This one did and will certainly stay with me. I just really liked it!! I felt the chemistry between the characters, the struggles seemed real and the emotions really came through for me.
Angela Dawe is quickly becoming my favorite narrator. I am a fan of Abby Craden and Lori Prince like most, but something about Angela Dawe takes her to the top for me.

Bliss + Dawe = Magic
When I first started listening to this book, I thought, "Hmmm.... This is going to be a naughty one, it seems like." And while it was indeed sexy, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it became a very nicely fleshed out age gap romance.
I'm one of those that finds it fascinating that some people are almost exclusively attracted to people significantly older than them. I'm talking about people old enough to be their parents. While in this book it alludes to that resulting from "mommy issues" I have to wonder how much of that is true. I also find it interesting that while it doesn't altogether gross me out in woman/woman relationships, it often does with much older men with younger women. I'll need to ponder that some more.
I appreciated in this book that the "older" woman, Maya, a former professional dancer who now owns her own studio and in the beginning of the book is in her mid-40s - really struggles with it too. She's taken aback by the passion she finds with her next door neighbor's daughter, Quinn, who is half her age and relentlessly pursues her one weekend when her parents are away. Because this was very much Quinn's idea, there's none of that creepy vibe going. A woman in her mid 40s really is in her prime, so I can see how some might be very attractive to someone in her mid-20s.
While Maya gets so caught up in the moment that she allows something to happen between them - and what a night it is! - she knows nothing can ever come of it because of who they are and where they are in their lives. She had previously been married to a man for many years and has never even looked at another woman before. And she makes that clear to Quinn that one night of passion is all it will ever be.
Fast forward ten years and who happens to run into the other when both are now living in New York City? And what happens when the spark is still there? It would still be a forbidden relationship, after all. Maya was friends with Quinn's parents for so many years and she has a son and a new grandchild to consider. Surely there would be someone better suited for Maya in a city of millions. I mean, what would her son think if she suddenly decided not only to start dating women, but their much younger former next door neighbor that's only a handful of years older than him?
I found this to be a good and very hot listen. In the very capable hands of the legendary Angela Dawe, not only is it way up there on the steam scale, but she also brilliantly captures Maya's internal angst. There are also some interesting secondary characters including Maya's new flamboyantly gay next door neighbor, who has many opinions about what she should do and what she should and shouldn't worry about. I also found it refreshing how Maya handled things once she got a handle on what her feelings really were.
This has me thinking more - not less - about age gap relationships. Can they really work? What happens way down the road? Interesting food for thought. I liked that this has an epilogue as I think it's beneficial for a story like this. Fans of Bliss and Dawe will be pleased with this one. It's hard to go wrong with that combo.

Pure Bliss 💕
An age gap romance in the hands of a mediocre writer usually follows a trite formula and feels like a generic greeting card.
However, in the hands of Harper Bliss, it can become a beacon of faith in the possibilities that two apparently mismatched people can look forward to.
In the early part of the 20th century, it was thought that the perfect music of seduction was Ravel’s Bolero, a very long work, that builds and builds toward a conclusion Mt unlike a musical orgasm.
As I listened to the magical voice of our narrator, Angela Dawe, I felt that the obviously mismatched main characters were also building toward slowly and surely, toward that same euphoric sense of happiness that comes with the certitude that two people, who, to the outside world, are headed toward romantic catastrophe, find true happiness in each other’s arms.
Like the Bolero, there is an ever present heat 🔥that Ms. Bliss is so expert at at building.
But above all, there was the message, imprinted like a “tattoo “ that real and healthy relationships must find a way of surviving, no matter who thinks it has little chance of doing so.
Great writing. Great narration. Great passion. Great story. 👍

Beautiful Familiarity
So, I love this story mainly because I could relate to it almost entirely. I had a similar situation in my past. Fell in love with the first woman who changed my life, had a magical evening then 10 years later, we meet again and sparked an old flame. Unfortunately mine didn’t end reciprocated but it’s nice to imagine what it could’ve been. Absolutely beautiful and raw. The feelings between Quinns parents are also similar to my mothers reaction when she first found out I liked older women.
Definitely recommend and love!!

Lust, love, and life with Bliss
Another capturing Harper Bliss age gap romance. A story you want to time travel into so you can meet the characters. You become immersed in their lives as you eavesdrop on them in most private moments. You feel their conflicts, their love, and desires. Angela Dawe puts the remaining heart and soul in each voice, not to mention desirable tones for the most intimate scenes in the book. Another great read by Harper Bliss with Angela Dawe icing on her words.

Age Gap Romance
which is the specialty of Harper Bliss standalone romances. is the theme of this, one of her best works. As usual the older half of the May/December LesRom fights her feelings and is able to rationalize all the reasons that what she feels is inappropriate, and all the reasons that it will never work out. I believe that this theme is autobiographical fiction for the author and she does it well, though it would be nice if she would make at least some small variations to the plot. This is well thought out, well written version of a typical Harper Bliss romance; I'm glad I chose this book.

An Unforgettable Night
Quinn Hathaway has a thing for older women. She had just broken up with her photography teacher an was staying at her parents while she put herself back together. Maya Mercer is the next door neighbor with a great pool and a marvelous body. They have one night of complete bliss Ten years later they meet again in New York City. Maya is now a grandmother and has a new life in the city. Drawn together by their secret, Quinn and Maya try to find a way to happinesses. Erotic age gap romance with a wonderful performance.
