About this listen

Hi, I’m Jenn! I am not your typical trans woman, or at least the ones that you usually hear about. I grew up in a Christian home and became a Christian myself, and I clung to my faith when I embraced my identity. I experienced tremendous support that—unfortunately—many in my LGBTQIA+ community do not experience. (And just in case you're wondering: No, this is not a Christian book, but I do my best to keep it fairly PG, so parents and kids can listen together.)

My true gender identity was glaring me in the face for my entire life. I just ignored it because I was naive, scared, and did not have the resources to figure it out.

Today, I serve as that resource for others.

Whether you are questioning your gender identity, or you want to better understand trans people, this book is for you. If you don’t buy into any of this “transgender stuff,” this is also the book for you. And who knows . . . you might even embrace your authentic self, whatever that looks like for you.

While I cover a lot in this book, feel free to also reach out to me—you can “Ask Me Anything!”

I came across this book and thought it might be interesting and I’d give it a listen whilst driving. To begin with I realised it lacked substance and detail. If I was reading the physical book I’d probably not have finished it but I’d a 7 hour journey and it became like background noise.
It’s seemed impersonal. No family member names. No ages. No place names. Nothing to give it depth. It could have been written by a non crossdresser based on some background reading.
It came across similar to some stories on Quara, a bit like a fantasy.
Then at the end the penny dropped. Jennifer Marie was going to become a life coach to help similar people through transitioning because work life wasn’t working out.
The book then seemed to be a way to promote the new Jennifer Marie life coaching business. It wouldn’t entice me to contact her for help.
Also for me personally the regular references to church were a turn off. I have faith but not in any set religion and don’t attend services regularly.
In summary I wouldn’t recommend this to a crossdresser or anyone thinking of transitioning as you’d spend 12 hours more productivity on line.
