About this listen

What do you do when the source of all your problems is the one thing you don't know how to fix?

With Don't Ask, Don't Tell nothing more than an unpleasant memory, US Army surgeon Sabine Fleischer is ready to move on with her life - if she can just figure out how to move past her PTSD. Fresh from her first deployment since surviving a vehicle attack in Afghanistan, Sabine is finding the things she's tried so hard to push aside aren't as easy to ignore as she'd hoped.

Sabine's girlfriend and ex-commanding officer Rebecca Keane is happily settled into her new job running a trauma department in a civilian hospital. Life with Sabine is everything Rebecca ever wanted. But when Sabine's PTSD reappears worse than before, she's left struggling with her own guilt.

There's no doubt that both Sabine and Rebecca want the same thing. But how do you help the most important person in your life when they don't want to need your help?

A great follow on to the first book, again I was hooked & listened when ever I could.

Another Fantastic book

This is the second book in the series of Ask, Tell.

I loved this book as it carries on the story of Sabine and Rebecca, and their ups and downs. But love will conquer all. This book is written in the point of view of Sabine and Rebecca so one chapter will be Sabine's point of view then next chapter is Rebecca's point of view, so you get to know how they both feel and I love that.

This book like the first one plays on your emotions, the story is deep and emotional. Both characters are struggling with the incident in the army, and it is nice to see them working together to come through the other side stronger.

I will say that this author puts so much information into the story and puts a lot of effort into getting the correct content e.g. PTSD and OCD, she does a great job of trying to make people understand the struggles people go through with these conditions.

This second book was also narrated by Abby Craden which was fantastic, as she does a great job with the voices and emotions that it adds to the story.

This series just gets better and better. Abbey is the perfect narrator for this! Never have I listened to a series of books where I have laughed and cried out loud! Can’t wait to listen to the next one. I’m so going to have to buy the books also. I also got through this over 2 days I was so engrossed!

Another wow from me!

another brilliant book by the talented E J Noyes . I really felt for Rebecca and Sabine in these 2 books in the series, I feel I went through their pain with them the writing was so good . Abby Craden's narration was perfect as ever, really adding to the experience. highly recommended

I thought it offered a good and realistic representation of ptsd and the impact it can have on a relationship. It was delivered sensitively and will hopefully educate people
