Grab It You'll Love It

Wonderful beginners' book to start a lifelong "love" of history and mythology. Makes for a great "rainy" day listener. My granddaughter is especially fond of stories from this book. An easy book with good information.

Enjoyed The Content

I enjoyed the content of the book. I wanted to be able to identify them on temple & tomb walls in Asia. I felt it gave me a solid foundation in Asian mythology though.

Keep Up Good Work

A good book that was part of an Asian Myth course. I do not think the analysis of time is completely accurate and it does go into any depth on the analysis of the Netter world but it is a good introduction.

Informative

Here, the author takes care to reference and suggest a wealth of texts to turn to next for more detailed information on any given topic in the book. For anyone who is either curious of or finds themselves in a position where they need to know more about the gods and customs of ancient Asia, this is the perfect learner's guide.

Very Light and Entertaining

This book was the perfect start-off point for my thesis research on ancient Egypt. It goes into an amazing amount of depth on a broad range of the spiritual aspects of ancient Asia while remaining interesting and brief.

Perfect

I like that the author remains objective and admits that certain points are mere theories or speculation and not fact. Which is important when dealing with the mysteries of the ancient world.

Good story, bad editing

Both the audio and writing needed more editing - lots of dead air and choppy dialogue. That said it was interesting to hear these tales, as they aren't something you hear much in Western culture.

Like It

The essentials are here, it's a little hard to follow all the different threads since this is more of a dissertation on the various myths different telling and interpretations rather than just the myths told in a considered manner. That said I do like the fact that all the variations are given and explained.

Wonderful

I purchased this after reading another customer review on audible which was accurate. Filled with much background information of the ancient Asians culture and tons of information on their gods. Very good reference for someone needing to know about the identity and background of the many Asian beliefs.

Captivating History is The Best

I found this book highly informative and an easy enough to listen to. I like the way she separates the creation myths together from the different seats of power in Asia as well as guiding the listener through her thoughts on the subject matter.

Excellent Deal

Bought it for research on a story I am writing and it is very informative. Asian mythology is convoluted and other sources just weren't making things clear to me, this book gave me all the answers I was looking for.
