Story
The explosive new stand-alone thriller from the author of the Spider Shepherd series. Sally Page is an MI5 'footie', a junior Secret Service Agent who maintains 'legends': fake identities or footprints used by real spies. Her day consists of maintaining flats and houses where the legends allegedly live, doing online shopping, using payment, loyalty and travel cards and going on social media in their names - anything to give the impression to hostile surveillance that the legends are living, breathing individuals.

Story
It's Christmas, and half the Partickhill police squad is down with flu. Not good timing, with a series of cyanide poisonings in the area, plus two small boys reported missing in the space of a few days. And then there's the monumental task of providing concert security for rock legend Rogan O'Neill.

character development
If you could sum up Ash and Bones in three words, what would they be?
Too many notes. There are too many characters and too many twists and too many non-sequiturs, typical of first novels, I've found.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
This story is told from the view of a detective constable rather than the DI in charge which is why I will listen to the second in this series.
Which character – as performed by Matt Addis – was your favorite?
Actually, no character was adequately--or believably--developed, so I had no favorite character.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No.
Any additional comments?
I will listen to the next book in this series. I hope the author will have found a better editor in the mean time.
