An interesting book. Packed with facts about Arthur Conan Doyle, this friends and finishing with a tour of Devon taking in significant places in their history. Informative and useful, Narration by J.T McDaniel is excellent, easy to listen to and with enough gravitas to keep you involved. Excellent. The perfect companion for anybody interested in the area and the lives of the people. I received a complimentary copy of the audio and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

This book details multiple links between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes and the county of Devon. I was particularly impressed by the detailed discussion about the genesis of 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' and various other Sherlock Holmes short-stories, and also the Professor Challenger adventures. I am planning to visit Devon and Dartmoor for the first time this Summer and I will be sure to have the audible audiobook version of this book to hand. It also details a number of other connections between Conan Doyle and Devon, which were unexpected and surprising. I highly recommend this book to others.

Definitive and fascinating!
