This book has been recommended so often and I don't know why I left it so long. So, if you are into the #cheating and #lovetriangle tropes, this is an incredible read, but have your tissues ready!
I now know what people worry about triggers for. I have been an avid reader for 50 years and this is the first time I have been "triggered"!
The writing was superb and I can only think that the author has been through infertility issues to express how it really feels - the pain is excruciating and I do have personal experience. It's traumatic and you never get it, but you slowly learn to live with it. What does help is a very strong marriage and communication is key.
Reading this book literally brought all that pain to the surface once more and made me realise how lucky I was to be married to the amazing man that I am, but my body literally revolted and I have been in bed all day suffering from the consequences!
Unless you have been through this trauma you'll never be able to understand Cathy's behaviour and nor can you judge her. Just be lucky that you've never been in the same situation.
