About this listen

Assemble, Train, Compete, Dominate.

Frank lived for his three sons, busting his back to see they thrived in comfort. His good for nothing wife, she made him the happiest man in the world when she finally agreed to his divorce terms. His glorious day turned to ruin when an explosion hurls him through an unformed portal connection.

Lost to eternity and stuck in the void, a happenstance encounter allows him to relocate to the fantasy world of Dorbin. There's a drawback to Dorbin. It's a violent planet filled with ruthless cutthroats, hideous mythical creatures, and all the activities a heathen could ever wish for. Even the national militaries turn a blind eye to the atrocities, only enforcing the laws when they see fit.

The designer of Dorbin calls themselves the Creator. The Creator established a system of kiosks for trading, point tracking, and quest rewards. The being is all powerful and incredibly uncaring, and yet, they gave him a second chance. He arrives marred from the explosion, unable to speak the local language, and about infinitely cleaner than anyone else on the planet.

The challenges for Frank will be steep, the learning curve arduous, and the chances of going home are slim to none. It doesn't take long for Frank to realize there's no place in Dorbin for the weak or the meek. If he wants to survive, he will have to earn it and the ends sure as hell justify the means; especially when he selects to become an arena manager—a dominus of the pits.

This was awesome, take away all your bs societal norms and get thrown into a world where the worst shit humans do to eachother isn't questioned as wrong because of a magical system that enables slavery to be as easy as breathing exists. What would you do, immediately stand against it and become a slave or die instantly. MC reacts the way anyone would, then adapts and makes the best of it. The MC is forced to become as savage as the world he is now a part of to become more powerful, I can't wait to see what he decides when he has real power. Will he force the world to change or will he succumb for more power!

Brilliant!

Basically the title. It's a good team-building LITRPG with a bit of spicy action here and there but nothing too graphic. The narrators' voices are terrible. The Barron sounds like an off-brand, Microsoft Sam. The mc is high and nasally snd there are random times when he actually shouts instead of reading the story.

Good story but narrator sucks

I liked the story, but it took me a while to get into it, but by the end, I didn't want to finish ..

it's a grower

A great book that translates well into audible. The use of 2 narrators allowing greater diversity for the male and female characters. My only critic is the male narrator can be a little off putting with some of his accents, but you soon forget the issue

A well written story that delights.

First of all, I want to say the narrators done a brilliant job with this !
It took me a while to get into this story line and world, only because I didn’t know what to expect or struggled to see where it was going, hence the drop on a star, but I soon found myself unable to put it down and was invested in frank growing his team and wanting to know how big he can grow. I enjoyed the dark twist and some of the brutality this story brought ! Overall it was a good listen and I did enjoy it and will be picking up the next one when possible ! Great work and thank you

It grows on you
