Summary

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for coming. What a great-looking group of people we have here today. As your president, I feel it’s important to tell you all about this guy. He’s a great guy. A real stand-up guy. A real go-getter. His name is Marc Havak, and let me tell you, this guy is going to be huge.

See, when the aliens came down and told us they’d enslave all of the human race if we didn’t send our bigliest warrior to participate in their arena death games, I laughed at them. It was really funny because they obviously didn’t know who they were dealing with. Know what I mean? Then they said they would pick the greatest warrior, and they picked Marc Havak. He seemed like such an average guy, but he was a true-blue American. He even worked as a truck driver! That’s the kind of good guy we want defending us from aliens.

I took one look at Marc and realized he was just the right guy to save our planet. I always make the best decisions, and this one was one of the best decisions. Turns out Marc was really good at kicking alien ass. He won all the games, got all the prizes, and slept with all the hot alien women. And let me tell you, these women are some real beauties, and they don’t mind sharing Marc. He is just that great. Of course, he’s still not quite as accomplished as I am, but no one is.

There is more to it than that. You should check his story out. It’s a great story. A fantastic story. One of the best, and I know good stories. You’ll love it.

Good story idea. Buuuutttt...

too much harem bs like a horny teen wrote the book. feels like most of what i heard was a young man gawking over hot alien women. Oh and there is a little bit of story in between.

he really did a great job

I thoroughly enjoyed this book due to the fact it was a great blend of action as well as a great supporting cast around the MC. Another great plus for the author is he didn't shy away from sex but it was in no way graphic like some authors like to make it.

A truly well done audiobook.

I have read the book and that was a really great read. The performance in this book was very good. Voices were great and varied, no hiccups in the story telling.

don't bother with this crap

I had so much hope for this book but it is a giant let down the jokes are juvenile the flirting is cringe as all and not once was the mc really worth anything at all I feel bad for the narrator he tried his best but you can't fix worthless writing.

An exhilarating romp

I truly enjoyed this story and know I will listen to it again and again. It's a positive, if light hearted and funny. I didn't get bogged down with extraneous details or an excessive cast of characters. However, there was just enough in the details to let my imagination go crazy. Having an average, everyday human male thrown into the maelstrom of an intergalactic culture where competition, violence, and mainstream media is a marketable commodity has to be told no other way. Arthur Dent he definitely is not, but America has Marc Havak. I can't wait to hear more of Arena books in the future.

Great read highly recommended

A very good read great plot and the MC along with other characters are very well fleshed out. only one confusing aspect is the currency is basically non existent. other than that it is a great read.

Fun and unique!

Fun filled romp through the back road trucking lanes to the farthest reaches of the universe. This book's no end of one liners and great heroes making it easily one of my new guilty pleasures.
