Nalini had definitely been pushing their story to this conclusion, which was cool. BUT both Illium and Aodhan behaved like children most of it, flat out refusing to communicate or see each other's point of view which I found incredibly frustrating. However, I still found the story enjoyable and Aodhan's backstory horrific and incredibly satisfying!

Such a beautiful telling of the life that Illium and Aodhan have led through the centuries. It really illustrates how close these 2 had become and also the reasons that they had become distant. Definitely recommend buying this. My only gripe is that I would have liked to see more of their romantic relationship. The book ended just as they figured that but out. Hopefully this is only the first book dedicated to 2 of my favourite characters 🦋💎

I absolutely love this series and this installment was no different. I didn't want it to end! Justine's performance is always exceptional and Nalini's ability to hit you in the feelings is second to none.
