The beginning of a new series, with the promise to go far. I enjoyed this book, the heroine, Zoey was a likeable but bratty outsider, not willing to follow the herd. She is scared at being torn from everything she knows, and frustrated by the evasion of her questions, by her three men, as if there is a huge secret! This leads to a series of unfortunate incidents and a lack of thought that just sets her at odds with everyone. I did get annoyed with Zoey lack of thought by the end of the book, but as the series is only beginning she has time to mature.

Excellent I really enjoyed listening about Zoey and her protectors I am eagerly awaiting book 2.
Meg Price did a great job narrating all the different characters.

Story was good. Plenty of emotion, magic, mystery, conspiracy and treachery. I liked the characters although Zoey does come across a bit whiney. There are a few continuity errors that were missed in editing but overall Rebecca is a good writer. Meg Price does an excellent job with narrating the story. I look forward to reading more of these. I received a complimentary copy of the Audio book and am leaving a honest voluntary review
