Critic reviews

"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." ( AudioFile)

Brilliant. Really enjoyable

I feel like I've learnt loads of Arabic. Buy it. Buy it. Buy it. The only negative and its a tiny negative is that the speed is a little fast but thankfully with audible you can slow it down, so I set mine slower and it was great. I can't wait to practice my Arabic now with my husband's family.

Most useful audiobook for learning Arabic

As someone who could read and write Arabic (not an absolute beginner) but couldn't string sentences together, I found this useful as it helps you to start building basic sentence structures, practise them often and then goes from there. I particularly found verb conjugations to be difficult and this has helped with that

Really useful

i have been listening to the Pimsleur Arabic audios whilst commuting and find them very helpful in learning vocabulary. The repetition and occassional vocabulary reminder in later lessons helps to embed the words. The variation in sentences and time allowed for you to respond actively engages your brain.

Arabic or not

I did some German before this, with the same series. It gave me loads of confidence to speak it, although I didn't get the chance to.
I love this series as speaking it out load really boosts you. I've also started listening to the news in Arabic. I recognise some words. yay!
Some other series aren't as in depth as this.

wonderful tool to learn a new language

if you want to learn a new language this is the best way I know. I am already able to speak a little bit of Arabic. I like how you're easily introduced to new items and still kept in touch with the earlier subject or topic. very intuitive.

I love this method!

the only thing I'd love to see is some written materials to help review the vocabulary. the method is excellent, though.
