This was fantastic, and I’m so glad that I got to experience it in the plus catalogue as I would never normally go for lighthearted romantic books. I am now forever changed in that I will be going for romance. Towards the end this book had me cheering out loud and talking to the characters which I only do when it’s a really good book

This, book and free is one the best books I've listened in ten years of having audible. The story is fantastic and the way it's played to the listener, is like a play, but it has stereo sound. The story is a love story, the way it's written just makes a fantastic listen and a story you will want to listen to, I finished it in two days.

This had the unusual combination of depth (it was often very perceptive and insightful), and being an easy, fun read. With a couple of English Lit/Theory postgrad qualifications, I've read a lot, and that's rare.

It was a particularly fascinating (and worrying) snapshot into modern dating for twentysomethings.

It was marred for me not by how selfish, misogynist and weak the male characters were, rather by the enabling of them. (Not "weak" in the writing of them, which captured them to a T, but lacking strength of character, any emotional literacy, self discipline...seeking comfort above all else).

I wish the ending had been different for Clara.

I would highly recommend Burned Haystack Dating Method by Dr Jennie Young (also on audible), for any woman who thinks a healthy relationship was possible with a guy who behaved like any of these.

I'm hoping the author reads it - it would be a joy to read anything of hers afterwards. I'll follow her future work with interest anyway.

Such a phenomenal book. I am absolutely dying for more! It feels like listening to a movie. I literally got lost in a trance with the book. This book is a 10 out of 10, it really got me engrossed and fully submerged into the story. I need more! ❤️
