Summary

ANOTHER ONE: Standalone romance

Forbidden romance never felt so good!

Trevor Willis is sexy, sweet, and oh so fun. He’s also my best friend’s brother-in-law. That should mean he’s off-limits—or that I should be off-limits to him.

Someone probably should have told us that before my best friend married his brother, before the morning of the wedding when we woke in each other’s arms, before I woke with gaping holes in my memory.

They didn’t.

We did.

                                                                  ***

Shana Price is that one woman.

Usually shy and awkward, I want to be more for her—and in her presence I am more. I don’t even have to try. She’s my one. I knew it the moment I first met her.

The problem is the little hassle of the thousands of miles between us.

Now, everything has changed.

Shana is back in the United States—all I have to do is make her see that her job isn’t the only reason to stay.

From New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig, get ready to laugh out loud, swoon, and fall in love with this fun and sexy stand-alone novel. ANOTHER ONE is set in the same world as PLUS ONE, yet the two may be read in any order.

*This novel contains the connecting novella previously released as A SECRET ONE.

Truly a Cute Story

Shana and Trevor first meet at Kimbra and Duncan's wedding. Then after one PG swoonworthy night, they part for opposite ends of the earth.
But before too long, a chance encounter brings them back together...if only for temporary. But temporary is all they need for the feelings to develop.
Truly a sweet little story with low angst but lots of romantic and hot moments.
Brian Pallino and Ava Erickson make a great team in narrating this story.

great romcom that will keep you laughing!

If you read A Secret One, then you know that Shana and Trevor met at her bff/his brother's wedding and slept together...sort of. They actually SLEPT...mainly because Shana had been drunk and passed out...lol. This book is set a year later, when Shana, who works for Saks...in London for the past 2yrs...is back in NY running a fashion show for a shot at heading the lingerie department. Trevor is also now based in NY...unbeknownst to Shana, who thinks that he is still in Seattle. A series of events lead them to meet and they are still hiding the fact that they know each other...and have been sort of courting...from her best friend, Kimbra, and his brother, Duncan. Now they have to decide how to proceed with their non-relationship-relationship. Throw in miscommunication between Shana's assistant and Trevor's friend...who had been dating in London...are you still with me? and you have a hilarious story that is guaranteed to keep you entertained until 'THE END'!!! You just have to read about the cannoli... :-)...trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Not So Much

I thought I was really going to like this book, but unfortunately it just didn’t do anything for me. The narration was good and it was my first listen to Brian Pallino, who I thought was really pretty good. Not sure what the problem was, although I know I couldn’t really connect with the female lead character at all. This book was just not for me.

“My lady” almost ruined this story

I didn’t hate this story, it didn’t have a lot of substance, it was just your typical boy meets girl then falls in love story. The characters could have been more interesting, but overall it wasn’t horrible. What was horrible was the non stop use of “My lady” what in the world was that even about?! It nearly ruined the story for me, it was so obnoxious it made me want to stop listening every time I heard it.

Good overall

It was good story over all. Although I love Ava as a reader and she did a good job, I wanted to hear Brian too. Although this supposed to be dual narrators, Brian didn’t have that many lines. It was worth the listen.

🙄🙄🙄

If I heard the term “my lady” again, my eyes may possibly have rolled backwards in my head. The whole story was lifeless and mediocre. Don’t bother.

Was hoping for something different

I read "Plus One" by Aleatha Romig before i listened to "Another One". I loved Plus One soooooo much. I laughed through the entire book until there were tears in my eyes. So when I saw "Another One" I was hoping it would be just as funny. It was written well, nice story line that flowed, but it isn't written with humor at all.
This story is about a fashionista met a handsome Engineer at her best friends wedding, then serendipity plays a role and they reconnect in New York months later.

Good

This was a good read. I could have done without Trevor calling her “my lady” so much. It made the story cheesy.

Quick, cute story

I liked the narrators, they did a great job on the characters.
As for the story- it’s very basic and Does not have a plot twist so don’t wait for one. Easy listen. I was over the male lead character calling the female lead “my lady” ALL the time. Other than that it was enjoyable.
