Critic reviews

"...what sets it apart is the lyricism of the narrative, and Syvia's credible childlike voice, maturing with each chapter, as she gains further understanding of the events around her." ( Publishers Weekly, starred review)

I have only just discovered Janette Oke in the past 6 months but have listened to several of her books to date and this one was magnificent. Her characterisation is brilliant and the plot and interaction between characters cleverly assembled and woven together to create a gripping and thought provoking story line. I keep coming back for more so was delighted to discover a sequel to this brilliant book.
