Christians in Bible-believing churches often do not receive explicit teaching on angels because expositional sermons focus on the meaning of the text—and the biblical authors are rarely focused on discussing angels. The consequence is that legends or superstitions often cloud our reflections about supernatural beings. Pastors also rarely receive in-depth exposure to this subject in seminary.
