About this listen
Alex is a ruthless assassin - of angels. Forget everything you’ve heard about them before. Angels are not benign celestial creatures, but fierce stalkers whose irresistible force allows them to feed off humans, draining them of their vitality. As far as Alex is concerned, the only good angel is a dead angel... until he meets Willow. She looks like a normal teenager but Willow is no ordinary girl.
Half-angel, half-human, Willow may hold the key to defeating the evil angels. But as the hunter and the hunted embark on a dangerous journey and Willow learns the dark secrets of her past, Alex finds himself drawn to Willow... with devastating consequences.
A heart-pounding, suspenseful story for older children from debut author L.A. Weatherly.

Angel, as it is called in the UK, is the start of a trilogy that is the journey of teenagers trying to save the world whilst finding themselves along the way. It is sweet and endearing to see how two people who are supposed to hate each other can quickly fall in love in the typical teenage angst style. Alex can't fight his true feelings for long and has to decide if he is prepared to lose his love forever as Willow discovers when she saves the world from angels, she is unlikely able to save herself as well.
The narrator on the audiobook is very good and making this book and enjoyable fun listen and easily builds the tension up to an explosive ending that make you want to carry on the journey and the next instalment, Angel Fire.
